Health Care Reform for the US

What's New?  The Newsletter page has been updated with suggestions for 2008 Program Planning (December 23, 2007)

We are a group of members of the League of Women Voters (LWV) from around the US but we are not any type of formal LWV entity, currently about 300 members from individual Leagues in 46 states. We function as an independent group and do not use the League name in any of our activities.

We do act in alignment with LWV policies and with the LWVUS position on Health Care.

Functions of this website:

1.     Raise visibility of LWVUS position as good solution to US health care dilemma

2.     Resource and education for LWV members

3.     Mobilize LWV members to educate other members and public

4.     Prepare for 2008 LWVUS Convention, to educate members on Health Care Reform

Although League of Women Voter membership is a requirement to belong to the National Health Care Reform Network, the Network is not an official LWV entity. Thus the Network cannot use the name `League of Women Voters’ to identify itself to the public, nor will the Network in any way imply endorsement of Network activities by the LWV organization.
